Student Discount for WooCommerce was a plugin created by GEANT Association, co-funded by the European Union and developed by a community of national academic identity federation operators. Operating between October 2024 and January 2026, it was designed to enable businesses using the WooCommerce ecosystem to integrate InAcademia’s student verification capabilities to their webshop by installing an easy-to-use WordPress plugin to facilitate offering discounts and special offers to students. Its subscription fees contributed to sustaining the development and operation of academic network and identity solutions.
